Mission Statement
Disclose, Divest, REinvest
Yale University must disclose and divest all holdings in extractive and exploitative industries, including fossil fuels, distressed sovereign debt, nuclear weapons and all arms manufacturing and distribution, immigration detention centers, and the prison industrial complex, including prison financing, private prisons, and industries that exploit incarcerated people or rely on incarcerated labor.
The University, in coordination with the Yale Corporation, must formalize a policy framework (expanding upon the foundation provided by The Ethical Investor) which mandates transparency, accountability, and social responsibility on the part of Yale and its stakeholders.
Further, Yale must commit significant resources to communities affected by the University’s investments and fiscal policy, prioritizing these communities' leadership and agency.
